Check actual accommodation and travel quotes before booking. A modest daily food allowance can grow quickly with café stops, and bike carriage may be charged separately. If travelling as a group, the per-person figure assumes costs are shared equally.

• Count every paid night, including accommodation before or after the ride.
• Include travel-day meals and any airport or station transfers.
• Check whether a touring package already includes accommodation, hire, meals or baggage transfers, so you do not count them twice.
• Enter each night separately when prices change. The calculator multiplies that night’s room or pitch price by the quantity you enter.
• Keep emergency spending available; an allowance in this calculator is a planning choice, not a guarantee that it covers every problem.
